You can make a cake, candles, presents and so many other fun birthday items with the images in this set! Yes, you really can “Build a Birthday!” Today’s project showcases an adorable little birthday cake design made with some of the new 2015-2017 In Colors. So let’s take a look at how to make this card…
Start with a a piece of Tip Top Taupe for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of mint macaron, a 5 x 3 3/4 inch piece of Watermelon Wonder and a 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 inch piece of whisper white. You will do your stamping on the whisper white piece of course! 🙂 Grab the fun images in the Build a Birthday set and start stamping from the bottom up. Stamp the cake platter using Tip Top Taupe, then stamp the layers of the cake in alternating colors. I actually covered up one of the layers of the cake with a small scrap piece of the Cherry on Top designer paper. Stamp the little banner on the top of the cake using the taupe ink and a little sentiment in the corner using watermelon wonder ink. For the finishing touch, add a few in color blossom embellishments. Enjoy!
