By the Tide ~ Vintage Style

by the tideSharing a fun masculine style card with all of you today! I was so happy to see this stamp set carry over into the new catalog!  It is called By the Tide and is a great set for designing more masculine style cards. So let’s take a look at how to make today’s project…

I started with a piece of coastal cabana cardstock for the base of the card. Now…just an FYI…this particular color is retired and, in fact, sold out! (sorry) But you can substitute white cardstock for your base. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of smoky slate cardstock, tear the edges and sponge them with smoky slate ink. Cut a 4 x 4 inch piece of designer paper (to coordinate with the blue cardstock you choose).  I used the Sale-a-bration designer paper on this card so if you got in on the free sale-a-bration paper then you should have some of this. If not, just look through some of the papers that you have on hand and see which one you can substitute. Stamp some of the fun images from the By the Tide stamp set on the designer paper using smoky slate, calypso coral and lost lagoon ink. Add the little nautical circle image to your design by stamping it on a piece of scrap paper and punching it out with the 1 inch circle punch. That’s it! Enjoy!
