Did you have a wonderful Mother’s Day? I sure did! And, of course, now that Mother’s Day has come and gone that means that Father’s Day will be here before you know it! So today I have a a masculine card design to share with all of you…just to help you start getting prepared! This particular project showcases the Open Sea stamp set which is one of my “go to” stamp sets for masculine themed cards. The interesting thing about this project is the designer paper I used. It was one of the patterns in the Lullaby Designer Series Paper (DSP) Pack. Yes, I said Lullaby DSP 🙂 
To make this card, start with a piece of Hello Honey cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of soft suede cardstock. Randomly stamp the images from the Open Sea stamp set all over the soft suede cardstock using the same color ink (soft suede). Sponge a bit of soft suede ink around the edges of the cardstock as well. Cut a 2 x 5 1/4 inch piece of the Lullaby DSP and tear one of the 5 1/4 inch sides…sponge it with some soft suede ink. Secure this piece to the center of your card as shown. Cut a 1 x 5 1/4 inch piece of hello honey cardstock and stamp a fun sentiment on it. Punch a little soft suede word window and adhere to the yellow cardstock…snip off one of the ends so it is flush with the edge of the yellow cardstock. Tie a bit of linen thread around the end of the cardstock as shown. Adhere this yellow piece to the card with dimensionals…be sure to overlap the bottom of your DSP. For the finishing touch, add a little button or embellishment. This would make a great Father’s Day card…just change out the sentiment! Enjoy!
