As you might have noticed, I have been working on a variety of coordinating gift sets. It’s a lot of fun to create coordinating cards and gift packages and I bet it’s even more fun to receive them, right? 🙂 Today’s projects showcase some of the fun things you can do with the Crazy for You stamp set.
Card: To make the card, start with a piece of sahara sand cardstock for the base of your card. The card measures 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches when closed (standard card size). Stamp the leaf image on the upper part of the cardstock using sahara sand ink. By using the same color ink as the cardstock, you achieve a more subtle look. Stamp your favorite sentiments from the Crazy About You stamp set on the bottom of the card. Cut a 1 1/2 x 4 inch piece of the Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper (DSP) and matte it on a 1 3/4 x 4 1/4 inch piece of blushing bride cardstock. Now I used the rose red ribbon from the Artisan Embellishment Kit…which is, unfortunately, sold out now. But you can still recreate this card by using some of your favorite ribbon just be sure to coordinate the color of your flower with the ribbon! Secure the decorative DSP & ribbon piece to your card base to cover up part of the leaf stems. Stamp the pretty flower image on a piece of scrap paper (I used rose red ink) and punch it out with the coordinating punch. Secure it to the card as shown and embellish it with a little pearl.
Treat Box: To make the treat box, start with one of the mini treat boxes (which actually come in a pack of 25). Stamp the leaf image on all 4 sides of the box. Embellish the top of the box with a few pieces of a paper doily and ribbon that coordinates with your card. I simply cut the doily into 4 pieces, scrunched up 2 of the pieces and tucked them under the ribbon. I tied the ribbon only around the lid of the box so that I could easily open and close the box. The embellishments I used came from the Artisan kit (sorry) but you can embellish the top with any of your favorite embellishments.
