Here’s a simple little card I CASED from the spring Stampin’ Up! catalog. CASE means copy and share everything! I actually like the one in the catalog better…haha…mainly because of the pink and white color combo. However, I wanted to use some the tangerine tango cardstock that I had on hand because I hadn’t used that color in a long time. I really like the design and layout of the card so you can choose any colors you like to re-create it! Let’s take a closer look at how to make it!
Start with a piece of whisper white cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inch piece of crumb cake cardstock…then turn your cardstock so that you can cut it at an angle. Start about 1 1/2 inches from the top (on the 5 1/2 inch side) and cut across the cardstock to make the angle. You can make the angle as wide as you like. Stamp the little dot image, from the petal potpourri stamp set, on the lower half of the cardstock using the same color ink as your cardstock…crumb cake. Stamp 2-3 of your favorite flower images from the set onto tangerine tango cardstock using, yep you guessed it, tangerine tango ink! I recommend stamping 2 flowers as you are going to be cutting them in half but you can stamp 3 if you want more of the flower to stick out from under the crumb cake strip. Punch out the flowers, cut them in half and layer them across the angled part of your card. Cut a 1 x 5 1/2 inch strip of crumb cake cardstock and secure it across the flower layers as shown. The crumb cake strip will hang off your card so simply trim it up so it’s even with the card base. Stamp one of your favorite large sentiments on an angle at the top of the card. That’s it! Enjoy!
