Spring is in the air here in Wisconsin! The weather has just been fabulous as we are in the beginning stages of the spring thaw. 🙂 So this means that I have been busy making a variety of colorful spring-themed cards, like this one made with the soft colors in the Sale-a-bration paper pack. If you need cards in a hurry, this is a super simple design that you can use with any patterned paper and stamp sets that you have on hand. Let me walk you through the measurements so you know how to cut your paper.
Start with a piece of soft sky card stock for the base of your card. Cut a 4 inch strip from a 12 x 12 piece of designer paper. In this case, I used the Best year ever DSP from the Sale-a-bration catalog. Cut 2 pieces of DSP that are 1 1/2 x 4 inches and a third piece that is 2 x 4 inches. Since the DSP is 2-sided, you can flip over the middle piece so that you have 2 different designs on your card. Or you can just leave the pieces all the same design…whichever you prefer! Secure those pieces to your card base as shown. Cut a 2 x 3 1/2 inch piece of whisper white cardstock and punch the top using the scalloped tag topper punch. Stamp your favorite sentiment on the tag using ink that matches your papers. Tie a bit of ribbon on the end of the tag and embellish with a few little flowers. Enjoy!
