Did you know that these beautiful In Colors are going to be retiring this year? Yep, it’s true! No more Strawberry Slush, Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe after May 2015! This really isn’t new as Stampin’ Up!’s In Colors are only available for a 2-year time period. But it sure is a bummer as I have really grown fond of these colors. But the good news is that there will be another set of fun colors for us to play with in June!
Since these colors will be retiring in this year, the theme for our demonstrator swap was to create projects showcasing these fun colors. This particular project is the one I swapped with the group. To make this card, start with a piece of whisper white cardstock for the base of the card. Next, cut a 1 1/2 x 4 inch piece of the crisp cantaloupe and strawberry slush designer paper and a 2 x 4 inch piece of the baked brown sugar. Secure these pieces to your white card base as shown. Cut a 2 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock and punch out the top with the scalloped tag topper. Stamp the koala image using baked brown sugar. Stamp a few swooshes from the Work of Art stamp set over the top of the koala using crisp cantaloupe ink. Cut a 2 x 4 1/2 inch piece of baked brown sugar cardstock and punch out the top with the scalloped tag topper. Layer the two tags together with dimensionals. Add a bit of ribbon and twine to the top of the tags and secure to your card. You can also embellish that little flower with sequins, buttons or pearls. Enjoy!
