Here’s another beautiful project showcasing the versatility of the Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper (DSP). This is the DSP that is FREE with a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration. The paper is white with white embossed images…you can use it as is or add splashed of color to it using a variety of techniques. For this particular project, I sponged the DSP with elegant eggplant ink. Just a little tip for you…when you are sponging on this DSP, be sure to use a tissue to wipe off any excess ink that sits on the glossy little flowers as the ink will not soak into the glossy patterns.
To make this card, start with a piece of elegant eggplant for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock and emboss the top half of it with your favorite pattern…I used the polka dot embossing folder on this project. Be sure to only enboss the top half so that you can stamp your favorite sentiment on the bottom. Cut a 3 x 4 inch piece of the Irresistibly Yours DSP and sponge it the same color as your background (elegant eggplant). Cut a 1 x 4 inch piece of elegant eggplant and punch out 2 scalloped dot borders (one for the top and bottom of the DSP). Secure these scalloped borders to the DSP as shown. Punch out an elegant butterfly and add a few pearls to embellish. Enjoy!
