The final Valentine’s Day project I have for you is this adorable card and treat box gift set. This past week I have shared a variety of different projects that you can put together with those tiny treat boxes. They are really fun to play with, don’t you think? 🙂 So let’s talk about how to make this set.
Start with a piece of real red cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of basic black cardstock and a 5 x 3 3/4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Stamp one of your favorite sentiments in black on the top of the white cardstock (or in this case I used the love sentiment from the Hello Life stamp set). Emboss the whisper white cardstock, just under the sentiment, with the Happy Hearts embossing folder (leave the sentiment hang out of the embossing folder before your send it through the big shot). Punch out 5 little hearts with the punch in the Itty Bitty Accents Pack. I used real red cardstock, glimmer paper and some designer paper to coordinate with the treat box….but you can use anything that you have on hand! You can also add a bit of 1/8 inch silver ribbon to the top to bling it out even more.
For the treat box, just grab some of your favorite patterned paper, or use the Stacked with Love papers, and cut out a little 1/2 inch banner for the box. Stamp a fun sentiment on the front of the box as shown. Then decorate it with your patterned paper, some hearts and a bit of ribbon tied to the lid of the box. Fill it with your favorite candy and enjoy!
