Hello Life ~ Valentine

clean and simple valentine cardGosh, I can’t believe that it is February already! Time seems to fly by so quickly, doesn’t it? Of course, since it’s February, that means that Valentine’s Day is right around the corner.  Chocolates, flowers, and cards are just a few of the ways that we show that special someone how much they mean to us! So today, I have a great card design to share with all of you! A simple, yet elegant, card that you can make for your special someone!

To make this card, start with a piece of whisper white cardstock for the base of the card. Stamp your favorite “love” sentiment on the bottom of the card front. I used the beautiful “love” sentiment from the Hello Life photopolymer stamp set.

026Next, you will emboss the front flap of the card with the polka dot embossing folder. Note: if you turn your embossing folder to the side, you can slide in the front flap of the card and emboss it without embossing over the sentiment (see picture for embossing folder placement). Once you have embossed the card, simply add a few hearts using one of the punches in the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. That’s it! Simple, hey? Enjoy!

  1. I really like the design where you embossed only part of the card! I was wondering how to put that thru my Big Shot…it doesn’t seem like the machine is wide enough to allow for that configuration to run thru the machine. Thanks!

    • Hi Pam, You should be able to send it through the big shot just like its pictured….keep the embossing folder vertical and have the paper stick out slightly to the right of the folder. As long as the embossing folder and paper fit on the platform it will work. 🙂

  2. ji I’m wondering how I go about ordering the embosser used for this project. Thank you so much.
