One of my favorite new products in the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog is the new Butterfly Basics bundle. The bundle comes with a gorgeous stamp set and coordinating framelits. There are soooo many possibilities! Let me share a few project ideas with you…
This first project showcases the an elegant butterfly created with the stamps and framelits. To make this card, start with a piece of blushing bride cardstock for the base of your card. Cut out a medium sized butterfly using a piece of the silver fancy foil designer vellum paper. Stamp the butterfly image using blushing bride and cut it out with the coordinating framelits. Just a little tip I learned when using these framelits…place a piece of wax paper between the vellum and the framelit. The wax paper will allow you to easily remove the butterfly from the framelit without tearing it. Adhere a paper doily to your card base as shown. Layer the butterflies together onto the paper doily and embellish with pearls or buttons. Stamp a sentiment in the corner of the card using smoky slate ink. Quick, simple and beautiful!
The second project features some of the other gorgeous images in the Butterfly basics set. To make this card, start with a piece of whisper white cardstock for the base of the card. Stamp the nature images, as shown, using pear pizazz and blushing bride ink. Stamp the honeycomb image and one of the sentiments using sahara sand ink. Then simply embellish the card with half of a butterfly and a little flower trim (from the Artisan embellishment kit). Note: You can cut the butterfly with the framelit as described with the first project. That’s it! You can make simply gorgeous cards with this bundle. Enjoy!
