Many of you have been asking for masculine themed cards. Well, today I have another fun design to share which features a great new masculine stamp set called Guy Greetings. This is the second of six different cards I designed with this new set. Plus all six of the cards feature masculine style prints from the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper (DSP) stack. So let’s take a look at this design…
To make this card, start with a piece of early espresso cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 2 x 5 1/4 inch piece of very vanilla cardstock and a 2 x 5 1/4 inch piece of the checkered sahara sand DSP. Punch the DSP with the spiral border punch to give it the appearance of pages ripped from a notebook. Secure that piece to the left side of your card front. Stamp the “DAD” sentiment on the top part of the very vanilla piece with early espresso ink (Note: you can add the … with an early espresso marker). Stamp the shoes on a scrap piece of very vanilla and punch them out with the large oval…add an extra large oval using cajun craze cardstock to matte it out. Stamp the “no one else could fill your shoes” sentiment on a scrap piece of cajun craze cardstock and punch it out with the ticket punch. Sponge a bit of early espresso ink on the ovals and ticket pieces. Secure these pieces to the very vanilla cardstock. For the finishing touches, cut a 1 x 5 1/4 inch piece of early espresso cardstock and tear the long edge. Cut a 3/4 inch piece of the plaid DSP. Layer these two pieces to cover the seam in the middle of your card. Voila! You have a very masculine card design! Enjoy!
