I am always drawn to pretty packaging ideas! And with all of the materials in the new Artisan Embellishment kit, there are so many fun options for creating pretty packages! Today I want to share a few of the beautiful things that you can create with these embellishments and a gorgeous new stamp set bundle called butterfly basics!
This first project showcases a simple gift packaging idea using the chevron bags found in the annual Stampin’ Up! catalog. Start by stamping the flower and fern leave images onto the lower right hand corner of the bag using crumb cake ink. Stamp the smaller butterfly image on a white piece of scrap paper, using blushing bride ink, and cut it out on the big shot embossing machine with the coordinating framelit. Adhere the butterfly to the bag with some dimensionals and add an artisan embellishment kit pearl. For the top of the bag, cut a piece of one of the paper doilies and secure it to the edge of the folded over top. Next, simply cut a piece of the flower trim about 6 flowers long and secure it over the top of the paper doily. For the finishing touch, add a bit of linen thread and a little clip to the top of the bag to keep it closed.
The second gift packaging idea is one of my favorites…a little decorated plastic container! I save all of my empty brad and button containers as you can do so many things with them! For this particular project, I used the new Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper (DSP). Using the 2 1/2 inch circle punch, I cut out the top and bottom pieces and secured them to brad container with sticky strip. Next, I punched out two 2 3/8 inch scalloped circles from the DSP and secured them to the inside of the brad container, one on the lid and one on the bottom, using dimensionals. Cut a 1/2 x 12 inch strip of DSP and secure it with sticky strip around the outside of the bottom part of the container. For the top of the container, run a bit of ribbon around the outside and secure with sticky strip…I actually used some retired pleated ribbon as it works perfect for this! For the finishing touches, add a silver vellum butterfly, a little sentiment, some linen thread and embellish with your favorites from the artisan kit! Just gorgeous!
The last packaging idea I have for you today is this one…made with one of the boxes from the tag a bag series in the annual catalog. For this particular project, I cut out one of the gorgeous butterflies, from the butterfly basics bundle, and made that the focal point on the top of the box (the butterfly was cut from a piece of sahara sand cardstock). I wrapped the box in a 12 x 3 inch piece of the new Sale-a-bration Specialty Designer Series Paper called Irresistibly Yours (this paper is FREE with a $50 purchase January 6th – March 31st). Next, I secured the butterfly to the top of the box and wrapped a piece of the rose red trim from the artisan kit around the box, tying a pretty little bow on the top. For the finishing touch, I added a little sentiment and some pearls.
As you can see, there are just so many things you can do with the Artisan Embellishments in this kit! I hope enjoyed these little project ideas! Stay tuned…as there are 14 different projects that I made with these little embellishments and I will share them over the course of this week!
