Since I have shifted a bit from Christmas projects this week, I thought I would share another all occasions card design with all of you. I designed this particular card for a hostess that was looking for ideas using the Serene Silhouette stamp set.
To make this card, start with a piece of whisper white cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 4 x 3 inch piece of Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper (DSP) and a 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch piece of soft suede cardstock. Use the soft suede piece to matte out the DSP. Cut a 4 x 2 inch piece of whisper white cardstock for the tag. Use the scalloped tag topper punch to round out the top of the tag. Stamp one of the serene silhouette images onto the tag using soft suede ink…then stamp it again without re-inking (this will give you a slightly lighter colored image). Next, sponge over the stamped images using hello honey (yellow) and coastal cabana (blue) inks. I highly recommend that you practice sponging on a scrap piece of paper before applying it to your project. For the finishing touches, add a bit of hello honey and venetian trim to the top of the tag…and tie the ribbon together with a bit of linen thread. Viola! You have a card for almost any occasion!
