Since it’s mid-October already, I thought I would share some of my favorite fall-themed card designs with you this week. I just love the colors of the Fall season, don’t you? I designed this card for an event I held last week….and this one was definitely everyone’s favorite! It showcases the framelits from the Four Feathers bundle (the bundle includes framelits and a stamp set…but I didn’t use the stamp set on this particular card). I decided to start out with a bit of Color Me Autumn washi tape to capture some fun colors of the season. I started with a 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock and ran the 3 different colors of washi tape across the top. Using the smaller feather framelit, I cut out a washi tape feather. Save this feather as it will serve as one of your feathery embellishments on the card!
Stamp your favorite sentiment on the lower right hand side of the white cardstock (I colored mine with markers and then stamped it). Once that was complete, I secured the white piece on a 4 x 4 piece of blackberry bliss cardstock. I love the purple matte around the white cardstock…plus we now have a purple feather amidst the washi tape. 🙂 Next, I used the other framelit to cut out a few longer feathers from cajun craze and hello honey cardstock. For the finishing touch, I layered all of the feathers and added a bit of linen thread. That’s it! Enjoy!
