Gosh, I can’t believe the summer has come and gone already. I feel like I was just getting started!!! Summer and fall are my favorite seasons so it’s good thing one follows the other. Since summer is over, I thought I would give it just one last hurrah with this gorgeous summer silhouette creation! This card was inspired by a swap I received at the 2014 convention. I just love the layout and…of course…the butterflies!
To re-create this card, start with a piece of very vanilla cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of pink pirouette and a 5 x 3 3/4 inch piece of very vanilla cardstock. Cut out the center of the 5 x 3 3/4 inch using one of the apothecary framelit designs…then emboss this piece with the mosaic embossing folder. Set aside. Stamp the fun leaf and flower images onto a scrap piece of very vanilla cardstock…the piece needs to be big enough to fit behind the apothecary accent cut out. Stamp the images using pear pizazz and pink pirouette ink. Stamp the fancy mosaic image using sahara sand ink. I used the stamp off technique to achieve light and dark image colors. To stamp off, simply stamp the image once and then, without re-inking, stamp it again. For the finishing touches on this card, add a few butterflies and some pearls. Enjoy!
