Today I wanted to show you a fun little project you can create with the Work of Art stamp set. This is such a versatile stamp set as I have seen soooo many different designs from a flower, such as this one, to a palm tree, Christmas tree and so many more! This particular card was inspired by a swap I received at the 204 Stampin’ Up! convention.
So for today, I want to focus on creating a cute little flower with the blotchy images that are found in this set. Start out with a piece of mossy meadow cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of very vanilla cardstock…this is the piece you will do your stamping on. Now you will have to take a close look at the pic to determine which blotchy image to use but just a little hint…I used the same one for the flower and the leaves (it looks a bit like a painter’s palette). Ink up the image with perfect plum and stamp in a circular motion. I stamped a few times before reinking the image (that’s how you get the lighter and darker purple colors). I continued to stamp until it resembled a flower. 🙂 Clean off the stamp and ink it up with mossy meadow (the green). Stamp the image in a V shaped to resemble the leaves. For the finishing touch, stamp a black circle in the center of your flower and add one of the little sentiments that comes with the Work of Art stamp set. It’s a fun little card to make! Enjoy!
