Sweet Briar Rose ~ Blendabilities

The third project in my blendabilities series showcases the Sweetbriar Rose stamp set as well as the Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive blendabilities markers.  This card was a huge hit at class this month! There is just something about the deep purple and green colors that makes this card so delightful!

Wanna recreate this project? Well, start with a piece of blackberry bliss cardstock for the base of the card. Now, I probably could have used rich razzleberry, to match the colors in the flowers, but I wanted to go a shade darker for the base. Emboss the front of the card base with the large polka dot embossing folder. Stamp the sweetbriar rose, using the black memento ink, on a piece of whisper white cardstock…cut out the image with one of the oval framelits. Then…get to coloring with the blendabilities.  For the flowers, I started with the darkest purple marker color first…shading the inner part of each flower. Next, I took the lightest purple and shaded and blended the outer part of the petals. The leaves were super simple…I took the darkest olive green blendabilities marker and simply highlighted the middle of each leaf. Once that was complete, I blended and shaded the rest of the leaf with the lighter green. For the final touches, I added a bit of silver glimmer paper, a paper doily and a beautiful white satin bow!  You can do this too! Give it a try!
