Yesterday was the last day of the Stampin’ Up! convention and it has been a blast! So many ideas are just swirling around in my head right now! I have been swapping card designs like mad with other demos and I am so excited about all of the beautiful swaps I have received. The card I am sharing with you today is actually another one of my swaps.
Super simple design and it only requires the use of one color! Yep, I only used ONE color…perfect plum.
So are you wondering how to achieve the multi-color look by only using one color? It’s a simple “stamp off” technique. For this card I used the chevron pattern from the Work of Art stamp set. The “stamp off” technique works like this…basically ink up your stamp, …stamp the first chevron image on the bottom of your white cardstock. Then…without re-inking your stamp…continue to stamp the second and third chevron. You will notice the color lightens as you continue to stamp the image. That’s it! Super simple, hey? Then I just embellished the card with a few butterflies and rhinestones. If you need to make a bunch of cards, this is the technique for you! Give it a try!
