This month I had so much fun playing with my new stamp sets and designing all of the cards for my upcoming classes! I have soooo many favorites…and this is definitely one of them! This card was inspired by a design that I saw in one of the past Stampin’ Up! catalogs…I simply changed out the stamp set and added a few little things of my own.
The Bloom with Hope stamp set featured on this card is a hostess set…this means that you can only purchase this set with hostess dollars (Check out the chart on page 236 of the big Annual Stampin’ Up! catalog to see how you can qualify for hostess dollars). Start with a piece of perfect plum cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a 4 x 4 inch piece of so saffron cardstock, score one of the sides at 1/2 inch then tear the oppposite side as shown. Cut a piece of whisper white cardstock at 3 3/4 x 3 3/4…tear the right side of this piece (this is the piece you will do your stamping on). Stamp one of the flower images onto the cardstock using always artichoke ink. Using a sponge dauber, add a bit of perfect plum and so saffron ink to the flowers. Stamp your favorite sentiment and sponge some crumb cake ink on the torn side. Secure to the so saffron piece (under the 1/2 in flap). Punch a few holes on the flap and add some little vintage brads, pearls and a pin, with a bit of lace, to embellish. Cut a 1 x 3 inch piece of always artichoke cardstock and add a bit of the Venetian Crochet Trim. Stamp some of the little stems on the base of the card using perfect plum ink. Secure the lacy green piece onto the card, over the top of the little stems. Secure your embellished flowery piece to the card with dimensionals. Enjoy!
