I had waaayyy to much fun with the June Paper Pumpkin kit this past weekend! As I shared with you on Sunday, I was busy making a variety of super cute projects with the kit materials. And…I even added a few of other stampin’ supplies! This pinwheel wreath was so much fun to make and, believe it or not, it took very little effort since the pinwheels were already cut and ready to assemble from the kit!
So here’s how you make this wreath. Start out by putting together 6 pinwheels…I used 2 of each kind (from the June paper pumpkin kit). Using the cardboard packaging from the kit, I cut out the center of the pinwheel wreath. I simply covered the cardboard with real red cardstock then ran it through the big shot on one of my old scalloped circle dies. You could also use the beautiful designer rosette die for the center piece…that would be gorgeous! Next, cut out a few glittery stars with the new star framelits and glimmer paper. I actually secured them (with glue dots) to 3/4 inch window sheet strips to give the illusion that they are floating. The scalloped circle center of the pinwheel is decorated with a paper doily, a 2 1/2 inch night of navy circle and some glimmer paper stars. The final step it to hot glued everything together! I started by hot gluing the pinwheel sticks to one of the scalloped circles…then I hot glued the stars (on the window sheet strips). Finally, I hot glued the decorative scalloped circle piece to the front. You can add a little hanger to the back of this wreath with a bit of hot glue as well!
The great thing about being a paper pumpkin subscriber (besides getting the monthly kits) is that we have the ability to purchase past kits and refills! you can check out all of the past projects right here on my website at http://bit.ly/1chPmOg Enjoy!
