In Color Work of Art

One of my favorite stamp sets in the new catalog is called Work of Art.  It is such a fun set to work with and I have seen some simply gorgeous creations with it! I shared a couple of projects with you so far that showcased this set so if you missed them you can find them all in one place on my Work of Art pinterest board http://www.pinterest.com/stampwithlynn/su-work-of-art/ plus there are a few others creations I have pinned out there as well!

I think what I love most about this set is all of the swoosh and blotch images…they make such great background accents!  For this card, I decided to do something very simple, yet elegant.  I started with a piece of the new blackberry bliss cardstock for the base of my card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock and rounded the corners (with the new little corner punch). Next I used several of the new 2014-2016 In Colors:  Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss.  The only new In Color I didn’t use was Lost Lagoon! 🙂 I stamped the large swoosh image 3 times, using 3 different colors. The little sentiment on this card comes from the work of art stamp set so I simply stamped the image with blackberry bliss ink in the lower right hand corner of the card. I accented the “swooshes” with a few elegant and bitty butterfly images from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set. For the final touch…I added a few rhinestones. I made a bunch of these cards to swap out with my stampin buddies…and of course, I shared this design at yesterday’s class. 🙂

  1. I was wondering where you got the swoosh stamp? I love this look for a card, it seems like the possibilities are endless!!
    Thank you,
