Something to Say

Have you seen all of the silver and gold accents in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog?!?! Glimmer paper, vellum, little embellishments and even gold designer paper! Gold and silver are very trendy right now in the crafting world and I seem to be drawn to them when designing cards. I designed this card for an upcoming class so I hope that ladies will love it as much as I do! It showcases a little bit of the old (retired) and new Stampin’ Up! catalog products. Plus…the design is super simple! A great card to put together if you have lots and lots of cards to make!

To make this card, start out with a piece of pistachio pudding cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a 4 x 4 piece of the silver polka dot vellum and trim it out with a 1/2 x 4 inch piece of silver glimmer paper. Cut a 4 x 2 1/2 inch piece of the new lullaby designer paper and trim out the top of it with a 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch piece of silver glimmer paper. But don’t forget to tuck a little piece of a paper doily under the glimmer paper. Cut the bottom of the designer paper into a pennant shape (or you can use the banner framelits to cut out a perfect pennant). Stamp your favorite sentiment right on the designer paper using soft suede ink. I used the new “something to say” stamp set. For the final touches, embellish the banner with a little flower and button. Very elegant and simple to recreate! Enjoy!
