Reving up the Fun with a Work of Art

Ok so the title of this post is a little corny but it does represent two different stamp sets.  Rev Up the fun is a stamp set that is retiring within the next day or so…and the Work of Art stamp set is a brand new set that will be available to us June 2, 2014!  My daughter actually designed this card for her uncle’s birthday this month.  I love how she combined both stamp sets!  I may have to keep that retired set now! 🙂

To make this card, start with a piece of basic gray cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of so saffron and a 5 x 3 3/4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. The so saffron piece will be used to matte out the design (in between the gray and white). She stamped the Work of Art swoosh images using smoky slate, so saffron and soft suede. The sentiments came from the Rev Up the Fun stamp set…those are stamped in so saffron and smoky slate. Of course the bike is stamped in black. 🙂 For the finishing touches, she sponged the edges of the white cardstock with a bit of soft suede and added some candy dots to each of the four corners of the card. Super slick little design! I hope you enjoyed it!
