Well I have been busy playing around with a bunch of new techniques and I have definitely found one that I just love…the shaving cream technique! Yep, I said shaving cream! Oh my gosh I have had such a blast with it! So much fun that I just had to put together a video to share with all of you (which I will share on Thursday)! 🙂
So here is one of the cards I put together after playing around with the shaving cream. The technique is very simple…put a glob of shaving cream (the foam not the gel) on a paper plate. Grab a few different colors of re-inkers, drop the ink onto the shaving cream, and swirl it around with your bone folder. You want the shaving cream to have a marbleized look so don’t mix it too much or the colors will get all muddied together. Then simply press your paper into the shaving cream and wipe it off with a paper towel! It leaves a beautiful marble background just like the one on this card! I happened to use blushing bride and crumb cake re-inkers but you can choose any colors you like! The paper dries pretty quickly so then you can go ahead and stamp some of your favorite images over the top. For this card I used the Flowering Flourishes stamp set and a little sentiment. Go ahead and try it out! Check out the video below! I am pretty sure that you will be hooked on this awesome little technique!
