Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple and Summer Starfruit…such rich looking colors, don’t you think? These are some of the 2012-2014 Stampin’ Up! In Colors and, unfortunately, they are retiring this year. Actually, most of the products in these colors are already sold out! And I can certainly see why! But don’t worry…you can still recreate this card layout by simply substituting different colors and paper.
To make this card, first choose a different color scheme (unless of course you are lucky enough to have these colors on hand). Cut a 5 x 3 inch piece of your favorite designer paper…choose polka dot or some type of subtle pattern. Next, cut a 1 x 5 inch piece of designer paper that would coordinate well…use one of those fancy big shot edgelits and scallop the 5 inch side. Cut a 2 3/4 x 3 1/2 inch piece of whisper white cardstock…stamp some of the lacy & lovely images on it (as shown). Cut a 3 x 3 3/4 inch piece of the same color cardstock as your card base (in this case, mine was blue); use this piece to matte out your images. Tie a bit of ribbon around it and embellish with a little dahlia or any of your other favorite embellishments.
There are some great products that will be retiring at the end of May. Visit http://bit.ly/1i2Bx7r to browse and get your favorites before they are gone for good!
