I have two fun cards to share with you today. Why two? Well I started out with a very simple design…then I thought it needed a little something more…so I dressed it up a bit. I am sharing both designs with you because I want to show you how different a card can look just by adding or changing a few things. So let’s take a look at the projects…
The card above was the first project I put together for class this month. I wanted to create something cute and simple with the “ship in a bottle image” from the High Tide Designer paper. I just cut down the paper so the image fit on my card and matted it with a bit of gray dotted DSP from the pack. then I stamped the little sentiment in the right hand corner. Simple, hey?
Now check out the card on the right….For some reason, the night before the class, I decided that my card needed a little more pizazz. So…I matted out the “ship in a bottle” image with a bit of summer starfruit and midnight muse cardstock. See how just a little bit of layering gave this card more depth and dimension….a totally different look! Both cards were quick and simple projects but I love the look of the dark blue background on the second project. How about you?
