I am so sad to see this stamp set on the list of Stampin’ Up!’s retiring items. If you haven’t seen the list of retiring items, you can view it by visiting http://bit.ly/1i2Bx7r . Items are only available while supplies last!
Anyway, let’s get back to talking about this card. I really love the elegance of the shoe image…works perfect for designing a variety of cards! To make this card, start with a piece of basic black cardstock, cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 for the base of the card. Score the 8 1/2 inch side at 2 1/8 and 4 1/4…you will fold the card in half at 4 1/4 and then fold the 2 1/8 inch flap backwards (so you end up with a z-fold).
Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock and secure it to the inside of the card. Cut a 3 3/4 x 3 inch piece of real red designer paper and heat emboss the shoe image directly on the paper using white embossing powder. Cut a 4 x 3 1/4 inch piece of basic black cardstock to matte out the shoe image…secure this piece to the flap of the card as shown but tuck a few paper doily pieces behind it before adhering. Cut a 5 1/2 x 3/4 inch piece of basic black paper and punch the scalloped lacy trim on each side….secure it to the right hand side of your white paper. On a scrap piece of white paper, stamp a little sentiment and punch it out using the scalloped oval…then matte it with a little larger oval. I just love the elegance of the colors and image on this card.
