Scrappy Bubble Sayings

Happy Monday!  After spending a nice long weekend crafting, I thought I would share some quick and simple card making ideas with you this week!  I had quite a few scrap pieces of paper lying around on my craft table so instead of throwing them all in a container, I decided to use them up.

I have a bad habit of collecting scrap pieces of cardstock and designer paper…and I bet you do too!  So let’s look at a simple little card layout/design that will help you use them up (instead of storing them). 🙂

Start with a piece of tangerine tango cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of so saffron cardstock and emboss it with your favorite embossing folder (I used the stripes folder). Next, grab some scrap pieces of designer paper and cut them into little pennants. Make sure you coordinate your cardstock with the colors in your designer paper! Cut a few pennants to different lengths. Secure them to the card as shown.  Take some coordinating baker’s twine or ribbon and tie a little bow across the pennants. For the final touch, add a little sentiment.  I used the bubble sayings stamp set and framelits but you could substitute the stamp set for something you have on hand and then simply punch it out with an oval or circle. Super simple and quick!
