Blessed Easter

Now I know that Easter is about a month away but…I thought it would be great to get a jump start on few projects. And…I also have had several requests for Easter cards so many of you are thinking the same way I am!  Easter will be here before you know it! There are some great Easter and Spring themed stamp sets in the Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalog…like this one called Blessed Easter.

To make this card, start out with a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white. Stamp the Blessed Easter image on the left hand side of the card using black ink. Next, stamp the watercolor image, from the Happy Water Color stamp set, over the top of the tulips using blushing bride and pistachio pudding ink. Then embellish the card with some chevron ribbon, gold sequin trim and a little bow tied out of pink pirouette taffeta ribbon. Just a little tip about the sequin trim…I ran a piece of sticky strip across the chevron ribbon to hold the gold sequin trim in place.  I snipped off some of the sequins so they didn’t go behind the white cardstock with the ribbon. I saved those little pieces and random adhered them to the right side of the card with glue dots. This is one of my favorite Easter cards…stayed tuned for more Easter ideas. 🙂
