Paper Pumpkin Project #1 ~ In The Bag

Well I have been very busy working on the February Paper Pumpkin kits called ~ In the Bag!  I have to say that I was super excited when I saw that this month’s kit was all about decorating bags!  I know that may sound a bit silly but I just love making special gift giving packages so this was right up my alley!  We received a total of 5 heavy duty bags to decorate…and of course, I had to do my own thing with them!  Here is the 1st of 5 different projects that I created with the materials in the kit…as well as a few of my own materials!

The paper pumpkin kit came with the bags, clothes pins, ribbon, baker’s twine, alphabet circles, blue circles and jagged flowery looking circles. 🙂  Oh…and a few stamps too!  I basically used all of the materials that came in the kit to create this first bag.  The only additions I made happen to be with color…I used some of my own ink pads to add a lot of color. Since all of the circles were “pop outs” I saved a piece of the cardboard from the pop outs so that I could use it as a circle stencil.  I sponged a variety of different sized circles onto the bag using colors such as daffodil delight, strawberry slush and coastal cabana.  Using one of the background stamps that came in the kit, I stamp the jagged little flowery circles with strawberry slush ink. Then I simply put the bag together per the instructions!  Super cute!  Wait until you see the rest of the projects from this kit!
