SAB Heartfelt Banner Kit ~ Project #1

Today is the start of my mini Sale-a-bration (SAB) series. Have you seen the SAB catalog items yet? Did you know that every item in the SAB catalog is FREE with a $50 order? I highly recommend you check it out! There are so many wonderful products in the SAB catalog which means the project possibilities are endless!  For this mini series I will be focusing on one of the FREE SAB items…the Heartfelt Banner kit. The kit contains everything you need to put together a super cute banner and it comes with instructions. However, this series will not focus on putting together a banner with the kit. Instead, the focus of this series will be on other projects that you can create with all of the items found in one kit!  Cool, hey?

So let’s get started with the first project in this series….a super cute little birthday gift box! I started out with one of the boxes from the Tag a Bag and Box bundles found in the annual catalog.  Using some of the scrap pieces of birthday paper I had on hand, I decorated the sides of the box by cutting a little pennant.  The majority of the decorations for the top of the box came from the Heartfelt Banner kit:  the pom pons, burlap piece and the linen thread string. The kit comes with a needle that you can use to string together the pom pons. I tied a bit of chevron ribbon around the box and then tied a string of pom pons to the ribbon. I added a little chalk talk sentiment layered on top of the burlap piece that comes in the kit. It was super simple to put together and a great way to use some of the kit pieces.
