This is one of the favorites from Saturday’s card class! A vintage card embellished with a bit of gold! As soon as I saw all of the gold products in the Occassions Catalog I knew I wanted to use them to embellish my favorite style of cards…vintage!
To make this card, start with a piece of blusing bride cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of crumb cake cardstock and heat emboss it with the big doily stamp. I used clear embossing powder for a more subtle look on the crumb cake cardstock. Sponge a bit of crumb cake ink on one of the white paper doilies.
Using a sheet of the typewritten “words” from the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper (DSP), punch out a 2 1/2 inch circle and sponge it with crumb cake ink as well. Secure these pieces to the left side of the card. Rough up the edges of the card using a distressing tool. Wrap a piece of the gold baker’s twine around the left side of the card, over the top of the paper doily and DSP, tie a little bow. Heat emboss a few of the petite petals and a little sentiment using gold embossing powder….cut them out with the coordinating punch and framelits. Don’t forget to stamp a pink flower too using blushing bride ink. Secure these pieces as shown with a few dimensionals…oh, and don’t forget to add a little gold brad in the center of the pink flower! Love this vintage card! Hope you enjoyed it!
