Spiral Spins

Here is a great monocromatic card design shared with me at the Stampin’ Up! convention last July. I decided to switch out a few things in the design so that I could use the new spiral spins stamp set from the Occasions Catalog!

To make this card, start with a piece of wisteria wonder cardstock for the base. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock…using one of the adorning accent edgelits, cut off the bottom part of the white cardstock. Lay the white piece on the front of your purple card base…then line up the matching embossing folder with the bottom of the white piece (the part you just cut off) and emboss. Take the white piece and emboss it with your favorite embossing folder…for this card I used the fancy fan. Cut a piece of the wisteria wonder chevron ribbon and secure it to the center of the white embossed piece…then secure it to your card. Punch out a 2 1/2 inch wisteria wonder circle. Stamp one of the spiral spins on a scrap piece of white cardstock and punch it out with the 2 3/8 inch scalloped circle…paper pierce each of the little scallops. Stamp the small spiral spin image on a scrap piece of paper and punch it out with  3/4 inch punch. Layer all of the circle pieces together with dimensionals. Embellish it with a little banner sentiment and a rhinestone.
