Hello Sailor

Are you looking for different masculine card designs? Well check out my blog throughout this month as I have been working on a few different designs…like this one which was designed with the Hello Sailor stamp set and the High Tide Designer Series Paper (DSP).

To make this card, start with a piece of smoky slate cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock to serve as the backdrop for your DSP and stamping. I cut several different sized strips of DSP and cut them into little pennants for this card. The longest piece of DSP is 5 x 1 inch…this is the orangish piece on the left of the card. The gray colored piece is approximately 2 x 4 inches, the yellow piece is 1 x 3 and the blue piece is cut to fit the little wheels printed on the DSP. Once you have all of your pieces cut, snip the ends of each into a little pennant and secure them to the white background as shown. Tie a bit of linen thread across the top half of the card. I used a few different punches to layer the sentiment from the Hello Sailor stamp set. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to stamp the little whale image, from the Hello Sailor set, on the bottom right hand corner of this card…so I decided to just leave it off the front but I may add it to the inside of the card. The simplistic style of this masculine card allows me to use it for any occasion!
