Today I wanted to share a card I swapped out with my fellow demonstrators at our monthly meeting. Each month we get together to share ideas, business tips, make projects and just have fun! We also have a swap contest where we vote on our favorite swap for the month! I was so excited to have my card chosen as the winning card for the month of January! 🙂 The theme for this month’s swap was “love” so I decided to use the new Follow My Heart stamp set.
To make this card, start out with a piece of basic black cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of very vanilla cardstock. Cut a 4 x 4 inch piece of Modern Medley Designer Series Paper (I used the polka dot design) and a piece of the new gold velum. Secure the vellum over the top of the polka dots using a glue stick (that way it dries clear). I heat embossed the sentiment using black embossing powder. The little key at the top of the card was heat embossed in black as well only this time I embossed on a piece of real red cardstock. For the final touches I just added two different ribbons and a little red glitter heart! Super cute and simple to create!
