Are you loving the products in the new Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalog? I know I am having a blast creating with them! Plus, because I am a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I get the privilege of also seeing and playing around with the Sale-a-bration (SAB) items (which will be available to all of you January 28th)!
So this card showcases the new SAB designer paper but the rest of the products I used were from the current catalogs. To make this card, start with a piece of smoky slate cardstock for the base. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of designer paper for your background. Cut another piece of designer paper…a different design…or in this case, I just flipped over the DSP and used the other design on the back of this polka dot one. Cut this DSP piece to 1 1/2 x 4 inches. Cut a piece of smoky slate cardstock to 1 3/4 x 4 inches to serve as a background for the little piece of DSP you just cut. Add some crisp cantaloupe ruffled trim to each side (as shown in the pic). Stamp your favorite bubble saying in crisp cantaloupe ink and cut it out with the new coordinating framelits.
Now…for the paper doily!! Did you know you can heat emboss the paper doilies? Just blot them on your versa mark pad and sprinkle on gold embossing powder. Tap off the excess powder and heat! You will have a beautiful gold foil looking accent for your cards! Super cool!
