I think this is my favorite card from this season’s Christmas club…and it was the favorite of all of my club members too! I just love the elegance of whisper white and smoky slate colors together! Plus that little touch of bling with the snowflakes and rhinestones really makes the card pop! Wanna learn how to make this? Well, you can! Here are the instructions…
Start with a piece of smoky slate cardstock for the base of your card…I cut the cardstock at 4 1/4 x 11, scored the 11 inch side at 5 1/2 inches. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock (actually, cut 2 of these).
Lay one of the whisper white pieces on top of the front cover of the smoky slate card base….place this on the big shot. Take one of the smaller oval framelits and lay it on top of both pieces of cardstock (towards the top half of the card (as shown in the pic on the right). The oval will cut a hole right through both pieces of cardstock (the white and gray). Remove the whisper white piece (the one you just cut out with the oval framelit), and emboss the top half of it with the Pretty Print embossing folder. Run a piece of silver ribbon across the bottom edge (where the embossing stops). You can either stamp the Christmas Greetings sentiment in smoky slate ink or you can heat emboss it (like I did) in silver. Finally…using smoky slate ink, stamp the tree image from the Special Season stamp set onto the second piece of whisper white cardstock that you cut earlier. Adhere this piece inside the card so that the tree shows through the oval window that you cut on the front of the card. Then I just embellished it with a few glittery snowflakes and some rhinestones! The card turned out so beautiful…I just love it! What do you think?
