Christmas Creation #10 is my favorite out of all 17 of the cards I made with these stars! Snowmen are just soooo stinkin’ cute! The little snowman stamp set, found in thid year’s holiday catalog, is called Snow Day. It is a super fun set because it comes with a bunch of different images you can use to embellish your snowman!
To make this card, I started with a piece of real red cardstock for the base. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Stamp a Christmas sentiment on the top part of the cardstock. Heat emboss the little snowman using white embossing powder…yes, you are embossing white on white. Sponge a bit of smoky slate ink on and around the snowman to make him stand out a bit. Stamp the little stick arms with a soft suede or early espresso ink. Stamp his eyes and mouth using black stazon ink…you must use a permanent ink like stazon because you are stamping over a shiny embossed image. Stamp his little hat in real red. Cut a little scrap piece of orange cardstock for his nose. To achieve the shiny silvery background, sponge a bit of the silver dazzling details all over the card. For the final touch, I added a string of stars!
