I happened to be looking through some of my card photos from last year when I stumbled upon this adorable little Thanksgiving Turkey! This card was designed by one of my team members, Debbie Jorns, and it was my favorite card from last year!
To make this card, you simply emboss the large doily in white on white cardstock…sponge some orange an brown ink onto each individual “feather” or part of the doily (I believe we used pumpkin pie and early espresso ink last year). The turkey image is actually a bit of punch art…meaning she used a variety of different punches for all of the parts of the turkey. An oval for the body of the turkey, bird wings for the turkey wings, a heart (upside down) for the gobbler, a small heart for the top of the head, two small hearts for the feet, googly eyes and a small oval with one end cut into a triangle for the beak. Well I probably didn’t do the best job describing the punch art piece but you get the idea! 🙂 I just wanted to share this again because it is a fitting card for the big Thanksgiving holiday tomorrow! I hope each of you have a wonderful holiday!
