As I mentioned yesterday, I have a few little gift tag projects that I am sharing with you this week! This one is designed with the Festive Flurry stamp set…probably my favorite from this year’s Holiday catalog. The blue colors in the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper (DSP) work perfectly with any snowflake type theme.
This is just a basic gift tag design. I started with a 2 3/4 x 4 1/4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock and just rounded the top two corners with my corner round punch. Just a little cutting tip…take an 8 1/2 x 11 inch piece of cardstock and cut the 8 1/2 inch side in half (you will have two 4 1/4 inch pieces). That way you can cut several 2 3/4 inch x 4 1/4 inch pieces (you can make a total of 8 tags like this from just one piece of cardstock)! Ok…so back to the tag…next, I simply embossed the tag with the polka dot embossing folder and added a 1 x 2 3/4 inch piece of the Winter Frost DSP to the top part of the tag. I stamped out 2 festive flurry snowflakes…one in Coastal Cabana ink and the other in Island Indigo ink and then cut them out with the coordinating framelits on the big shot. I secured these snowflakes to the card with dimensionals and added a rhinestone in the middle to bling it out a bit. Of course I needed a place to write on this tag so I added a smoky slate scalloped oval towards the top with a little “to” stamped on it. And no tag is complete without adding a little bit of silver ribbon tied to the top!
