This week I have been preparing for an exciting new class that I am teaching, this Friday, for 10 wonderful colleagues of mine. They are in the Christmas spirit so the theme of our class is, of course, a Christmas one…but the new and exciting part of this class is that we are going to focus on Christmas gift trimmings and tags. This is a new realm for me so I am really excited about it and thought I would share some of the projects with you this week!
So let’s start out with this adorable little Christmas tag! I had seen a number of different tags made with the Top Note Die so I knew that I had to do something cute with that top note! I started with a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inch piece of cherry cobbler cardstock and cut out the top note design with my big shot. Next, I used one of the deco label framelits and cut out some of the Seasons of Style Designer Paper to serve as a backdrop for my tag. I used a couple different stamps for this tag…first, I used one of the single stamps from the holiday collection called “A gift for you” and then the “to and from” stamps from the new photopolymer set called “christmas tagables.” I wanted to do a bit of layering on this tag so I punched out a decorative label using the red glimmer paper and then the “gift for you” sentiment using the artisan label punch. I added a pennant piece across the top just for the “to” and “from.” Then embellished it with a bit of the chevron ribbon and a button. And voila…a super cute little Christmas tag! What do you think?
