Have you noticed that most of my posts lately are not vintage style projects? I know… shocking, hey? Well today I am breaking that little streak and posting an adorable little vintage card I put together for an upcoming class. This card was inspired by a swap I received in July. I changed out some of the papers and used a different stamp set but the overall layout is the same.
To make this card, start with a piece of crumb cake cardstock for the base. Randomly stamp the gorgeous grunge splatter on the base of the card using crumb cake ink. Then, stamp the scalloped looking image from the Vintage Tea Party set towards the bottom left hand side of the card. I cut a 2 x 3 inch piece of soft suede cardstock and stamped in soft suede ink with the vintage stampin’ wheel. Cut a 3 x4 inch piece of very vanilla cardstock. Place this piece on the big shot and cut out a small oval…just large enough for any stamped image you plan to showcase in there. Cut a piece of pink pirouette cardstock a bit smaller than the 3 x 4 inch piece of vanilla…this is the piece you will stamp your image on. I stamped the beautiful little vintage pitcher and flowers using soft suede ink and then mounted it within the oval. I added a little sentiment and, of course, a butterfly to embellish it. Once I put the entire card together, I added a bit of dazzling details to the flowers in the pitcher. What do you think?
