This is one of my favorite cards from the classes I held this month! The images from the Summer Silhouettes stamp set are soooo pretty especially when you add a few butterflies. 🙂
The card is super simple to make! I used all of the 2012-2014 In Colors: Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green, Primrose Petals, Midnight Muse and a bit of Raspberry Ripple (on the butterflies). Start out with a piece of gumball green cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock…this is the piece you will do all of your stamping on. Simply stamp the Summer Silhouette images, in a random fashion, along the bottom and left side of the card. You may have noticed that some of the green leaves look lighter than others. To achieve that effect, ink up the leaves with gumball green, stamp the image on your paper and then stamp it again (without re-inking in between).  The butterflies are stamped in midnight muse ink and then sponged with a bit of summer starfruit and raspberry ripple ink. I used the elegant and bitty butterflies punches to cut out the butterflies and adhered them to the card with a few dimensionals (those little adhesive “pop dots”). Super simple card with a stunning result! Hope you enjoy it!
