Tickets for a Halloween Bash

So as you can tell, I am on a Halloween card making spree!  It has been sooooo much fun coming up with different Halloween designs!  I think now that I have a little grandbaby to spoil the holidays have so much more meaning! 🙂

For this card I wanted to do something a bit different with applying the ink so I pulled out my brayer (which is a little roll-on type of tool).  I inked up the brayer with Summer Starfruit and rolled the top half of a piece of 5 1/4 x 4 inch whisper white cardstock.  Then using pumpkin pie ink, I rolled the bottom half.  This is how I ended up with two different colors on the card.  I like how the summer starfruit looks greenish yellow…perfect for Halloween!

Once the cardstock was inked, I embossed it with the chevron embossing folder, sponged a bit of black in on the raised part of the embossing, added a bit of witches brew designer paper, some washi tape and a bit of satin ribbon.  Oh…and the bats…well those are made by cutting out half of an elegant butterfly (the punch).  You can either punch out an elegant butterfly and then cut it in half….or, you can just punch out the top half of the butterfly!  Super fun!  What do you think?
