This was a very popular card at my last class! I received this card as a swap at the 2013 Stampin’ Up! convention in July…if this is your card please leave a comment below, I would love to hear from you!
Such a gorgeous layout! This is the card the actually inspired me to purchase the Sunflower stamp! It has just the right amount of color and layers. The colors used on this card are daffodil delight and black (I used the stazon black instead of basic black). I actually changed the layout of the card a bit for my class so that the base of the card was white (not black as shown in the pic).
So start with a piece of whisper white cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a piece of basic black to 5 1/4 x 4 inches and then cut a piece of whisper white to 5 x 3 3/4 inches…this is the piece you will do the stamping on. First stamp the large sunflower in daffodil delight on the right side of the card. Using one of the splatter images from the gorgeous grunge stamp set, you can add the black splatter to your card. Choose any sentiment you like and stamp it as shown. Then just embellish it with a bit of designer paper, a butterfly and a bit of linen thread! Great look!
