As you could see by the pictures I posted on Saturday, we had a wonderful time at our quarterly team get together! Each time we get together, we hold a swap and….this was the card I designed to swap with everyone!
For this card, I wanted to showcase the Chalk Talk stamp set and some of the new In Colors. The Chalk Talk stamp set has a set of coordinating framelits…which means you do not have to cut out the shapes by hand! Now some of the shapes in this set, like the oval pictured here, coordinate with the punches instead of the framelits so make sure you have those punches handy too!
Let’s talk about the new 2013-2015 In Colors! If you don’t have the new In Colors, I highly recommend you consider getting them! They are fabulous! The two In Colors I chose to use for this card are strawberry slush and baked brown sugar. I used a bit of baked brown sugar co’redination cardstock across the middle of the card. The great thing about this cardstock is that it is sandable! I simply embossed it with the fancy fan folder and then lightly sanded the embossed image. The sanding gives it the weathered look. The designer paper is also from the new 2013-2015 In Color collection…love the patterns! And, of course, the new ruffled trim is my favorite…as it too comes in all of the new In Colors!
