So this month, I showcased a variety of swap cards at all of my classes. I had received around 200 swaps when I went to the Stampin’ Up! convention in July so I definitely had to start sharing them with others! This was one of the favorites at my last class! The card was designed by Melissa Roberts.
The card showcases a very simple masking technique. To achieve the polka dot look simply punch out any size circle on a scrap piece of paper (for this card we used a 1 1/4 inch circle punch). Take the piece of scrap paper with the circle hole in it, lay it on your project and sponge color in it! You want to use the same color ink and paper…so for example, on this card we used costal cabana cardstock as the base of the card and then sponged costal cabana ink in the circles. Then we just decorated the card with strips of DSP and a cute little cake from the Sketched Birthday set. And…yes…I did have the ladies color in the cake. 🙂
