Remember the summer smooches designer paper and products? Well this card was another one of my contest submissions back in May. I hadn’t used the stamp set or paper in awhile so I decided to create something a little different from the vintage and girlie cards I usually create! 🙂
For this card, I wanted to use a variety of different shapes for layering. I love the look of layering as it gives my projects such depth and dimension! I started out with a piece of DSP cut to 4 1/4 x 1 1/2 inches so that I could run it all the way across the card front. I embossed the bottom of the card after I adhered the DSP (it makes it easier to line up the embossed image). I designed the top half of the card using different size square and circle punches. Just a little tip…always stamp your images first and then punch them out…it’s easier to get the images straight! I do plan on using this layout for an upcoming card class…I will just change out the paper and images! 🙂
