Apparently I have a thing for washi tape lately! I just love the look of it and there are sooo many different ways to use it! I actually designed this card for a demonstrator swap that we had at our monthly meeting. We were challenged to design something with products from the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog!
Since I have been busy making Christmas cards, I decided that this would be the theme for my swap! For this card, I started with a 5 x 3 3/4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. I simply tore off pieces of the Seasons of Style Washi Tape and ran then across the bottom of the card. Then, using the new Expressions Thinlits Die, I cut out the “merry” message. I actually mounted the whisper white cardstock to a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of basic black before I sent the thinlit through the bigshot. The black cardstock acted as a shim and made it easier to remove the “merry” message…leaving only the black background. And…of course…I don’t throw anything away! If you have been following my posts, you know that Monday I posted a card that I made with the “merry” sentiment I removed from this card! 🙂
